Is Jobright AI Legit or a Scam? Weekly Refunds Last 24 Hours

Jobright does have a refund policy, whatever some rival tools’ reviews say. It’s a short page, last updated July 29, 2026, and the number that matters depends on the plan. You get seven calendar days to ask for your money back on a first monthly, quarterly or six-month purchase. On a weekly plan you get 24 hours.

Our verdict is Verified. Jobright (also written Jobright.ai) is a real company with named founders, disclosed investors and published terms, and we found no sign of a scam. Three things still deserve a look before you pay: prices appear only after you sign up, the weekly plan is the expensive one, and your profile data reaches advertising partners.

We read Jobright’s terms, refund policy, privacy policy, Trustpilot page and App Store listing on October 9, 2026. We didn’t create an account or buy a plan, so the prices further down come from other reviewers, and we say so where they appear.

What is Jobright AI?

Jobright is a job-search site, browser extension and iPhone app. It matches listings to your resume, rewrites the resume for each role, fills in application forms and suggests people at the company to contact. Its assistant is called Orion. The homepage claimed 3,000,000 users and more than 8,000,000 listings when we read it.

The company behind it is Jobright Inc., registered in Delaware. Its own blog says it launched in 2023 in Santa Clara, California, was founded by Eric Cheng and Ethan Zheng, and has raised $7.7 million, including a 2025 round joined by the venture affiliate of Indeed. Those funding figures are Jobright’s; we haven’t matched them to an outside filing.

Is Jobright.ai legit or a scam?

Legit. A scam job site takes a fee and vanishes, or collects resumes for fake recruiters. Jobright shows the ordinary marks of a going concern: a Delaware corporation with an address in its terms, a privacy policy updated June 15, 2026, an iPhone app rated 4.8 from 1.6K ratings on the US App Store, and a habit of answering its critics in public.

Two limits on that word. Jobright is a tool. Its privacy policy says it isn’t an employer or a staffing agency, so a message from someone claiming to hire you “through Jobright”, or asking for a fee, deserves suspicion. And it doesn’t promise results. The refund policy states that a lack of interviews or callbacks isn’t grounds for a refund.

What Jobright costs, and why you can’t see the price first

There’s no public price list. The address jobright.ai/pricing returned a Page Not Found screen when we tried it, and the App Store listing shows no in-app purchases. Prices appear inside the account.

Reviewers who’ve been through sign-up report the paid tier, called Turbo, at the rates below during 2026. Treat them as reported, not confirmed. The refund column is from Jobright’s own policy.

The free tier is reported to give two credits a day for resume tailoring and autofill. Jobright’s blog post from June 2025 still quotes $30 a month for premium, so expect the figure on your screen to differ from any review, this one included.

The arithmetic is the point. If those prices hold, a job hunter who stays on the weekly plan for 13 weeks pays $233.87. The quarterly plan covers the same stretch for $89.99. The costliest plan is also the one with the shortest refund window.

Jobright refund policy and how to cancel

The terms of service let you cancel at any time from the subscription management page in your account, or by contacting support. Canceling stops the next renewal. It doesn’t return a charge already taken, and you keep Turbo until the paid period runs out.

Refunds follow the separate Refund and Cancellation Policy:

• First purchase, monthly, quarterly or six-month plan: a full refund if you ask within 7 calendar days of the charge.
• First purchase, weekly plan: within 24 hours.
• A renewal you didn’t intend: contact Jobright within 3 calendar days. A full refund may be available if you haven’t made substantial use of Turbo since it renewed.
• After those windows: a prorated refund is possible at Jobright’s discretion on the longer plans, and generally not on weekly ones.
• Timing: money goes back to the original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days.

Heavy use can cost you the refund even inside the window. The policy mentions substantial use of Turbo features and a used coaching session. Ask through the support option in your account and give your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and your reason. The policy also asks you not to open a chargeback while a request is under review. A subscription bought through an app store follows that store’s rules instead.

None of this was tried with a paid account. It’s the policy as it read on October 9, 2026, and companies change these pages.

Jobright reviews: what Trustpilot shows

Jobright’s Trustpilot score was 4.8 from 3,557 reviews: 2,994 five-star, 408 four-star, 95 three-star, 19 two-star and 41 one-star. Read it with one fact in mind. The 20 newest reviews, all posted from October 7 to 9, came through Jobright’s own invitation link, according to Trustpilot’s data. Inviting reviews is allowed. It also means the score leans on people who were asked while the product was working for them.

So we read the other end. The 20 newest one-star and two-star reviews ran from June 22 to October 1, 2026:

• 6 were about bugs, speed or a cluttered interface. One of those called the service fraudulent and gave no detail beyond the bugs.
• 4 said autofill, auto-apply or the application links didn’t work. One reviewer reckoned only about 3.5% of the jobs marked for autofill could really be autofilled.
• 4 came from people who’d had no callbacks.
• 3 were about matching: irrelevant job emails, location filters, resume formatting.
• 2 were about price or the two-credit free limit.
• 1 came from a hiring manager who said nearly every applicant arriving from Jobright had sent a near-identical resume.

None of the 20 described an unauthorized charge or a refused refund. Reviews of Jobright published by competing job tools say billing complaints are common. We couldn’t confirm that in this sample. Jobright had replied to 19 of the 20, and Trustpilot’s figures show replies to 54 of 56 negative reviews. Reddit blocked our attempt to read its threads, so they aren’t covered here.

The hiring manager’s review deserves a second read. Resumes that all look machine-tailored are a risk to you, not to Jobright. Edit what the tool writes before it goes out under your name.

Is Jobright safe? What happens to your resume

Your resume is the product’s raw material, so the privacy policy matters more than any score.

• AI providers: it names OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud AI and Amazon Web Services, and says your input, output and personal information are shared with them to run the features.
• Advertising: the list of third parties includes ad networks, retargeting platforms and business-to-business data partners. The App Store privacy label says some data may be used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
• Employers: profiles may be shown to recruiters in anonymized or limited form. Names and contact details are shared only when you apply, accept an invite or switch on visibility.
• Gmail: if you connect it, Jobright says it reads only the verification-code emails sent by employers’ application systems, and doesn’t use Gmail data for ads or model training.
• Retention: no longer than six months after your account is closed, unless the law requires more.

The same policy says Jobright hasn’t sold or shared personal information for a commercial purpose in the past 12 months. That’s hard to square with the retargeting entries, and the policy doesn’t explain the gap. Deletion requests go to [email protected].

The practical version: leave your home address, date of birth and any ID numbers off the resume you upload, and connect Gmail only if the code-fetching feature saves you real time.

Jobright.ai trust scores from website checkers

The screenshot above is from January 2026. When we looked again on October 9, 2026, ScamAdviser rated jobright.ai very likely safe, citing its traffic, age and valid certificate, while noting that the owner’s WHOIS details are hidden. Gridinsoft gave it 99 out of 100 on a check dated September 16, 2026. Both list the domain as registered on March 6, 2023.

These checkers measure whether a website looks like a phishing page. They don’t read refund policies. They’re useful for ruling out a fake site and for little else.

Who should use Jobright, and three clauses to know

It suits someone applying to many US roles who’ll start on the free tier and edit what the AI writes. It’s a poor fit if you expect interviews to follow from the subscription. The company says plainly that it can’t promise them.

From the terms, last updated July 29, 2026: you must be 18 or older, disputes go to binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, California, and Jobright’s liability is capped at what you paid in the previous six months.
