Is Finestro AI Legit? Apple Charges $8.99, Its Website $49.99

Finestro AI legit

One Finestro customer listed four charges on a review site that nobody at the company could explain to her: $2.99, $16.41, $30.97 and $53.99. Every one of those numbers is sitting in Finestro’s own checkout code. They aren’t glitches. They’re a trial add-on, a discounted first month, an add-on renewal and the standard renewal, with sales tax added.

Our verdict is Caution. Finestro is a real AI-skills course from a real company, and lots of people like the lessons. The trouble is how the website sells it: small first charges that roll into $49.99 a month, an extra subscription offered right after you pay, a no-refund policy, and a “Cancel Subscription” button that only sends an email. If you still want Finestro, Apple’s App Store sells it for a fraction of the web price.

What is Finestro, and whose name is on your statement?

Finestro is a beginner course in using ChatGPT, Gemini and similar tools. Three companies show up around it, which is why a charge can look unfamiliar.

  • VELRIO LIMITED, registered in Nicosia, Cyprus, runs finestro.io according to its terms of service (last updated August 18, 2026).
  • Findmy LLC, a Delaware company, may act as the “merchant of record” for web payments. The terms list a Fort Lauderdale address; the site’s footer gives one in Middletown, Delaware.
  • APPLYFT LTD is the seller of the iPhone app on the App Store.

The terms say your statement may show Findmy LLC, VELRIO LIMITED or the payment processor (Stripe, Braintree, SolidGate or PayPal). Match the amount to a Finestro receipt in your email before reporting the card stolen.

The iPhone app has a 4.7 rating from about 2,000 ratings. Trustpilot shows 4.5 from 3,026 reviews. Gridinsoft scored finestro.io 79 out of 100 on October 3 with no malware detections (older search snippets still show a lower score). That’s a working business, not a fake storefront.

The web prices, copied from the checkout

Finestro’s website has no price list. Prices only appear at the end of a sign-up quiz. We didn’t sign up. On October 3 we read the public script that finestro.io/onboarding loads into every visitor’s browser, which holds the US-dollar plans. Before tax:

Plan as labelledFirst chargeThen renews atRoughly a year if you never cancel
1-week trial$10.43$49.99 a month$610.31
4-week plan (“Save 61%”)$15.19$49.99 a month$565.08
12-week plan$36.99$94.85 every 3 months$321.54
Add-on: “AI Learning assistant 24/7” plus “The Side Hustle Starter Course”$2.99 for 7 dayscoded as $30.99 a month$374.87

The yearly column is the first charge plus the renewals inside about twelve months. A second “special offer” set has smaller first charges ($5.50, $11.99, $25.99) but the same renewals.

There are tax-inclusive versions too: $15.19 becomes $16.41 and $49.99 becomes $53.99, and one add-on variant renews at $30.97. Those are the four charges from the opening, posted by a reviewer on Gridinsoft in August 2026. Take the 4-week plan plus the add-on, forget both, and you’re paying roughly $81 a month.

Apple’s listing shows a Monthly Premium Subscription at $8.99 and a Yearly Premium Subscription at $59.99. We can’t confirm both unlock identical content, but a year on the web’s most popular plan costs about $565, and a year through Apple costs $59.99.

Finestro AI reviews: where the complaints cluster

Hardly anyone attacks the lessons. Trustpilot’s split is 73% five-star and 8% one-star, and Finestro replies to nearly every negative review. The one-star reviews are almost all about money:

  • One reviewer says they cancelled on August 14, were billed $49.99 on September 23, and were refused a refund.
  • Another says support promised a $30 refund that never arrived.
  • An App Store reviewer says the app’s cancel button sent him to the website, where cancelling created an email, and the back-and-forth ran past his renewal date.

Finestro’s replies all say the same thing: email [email protected]. On quality, one App Store reviewer in his thirties called the lessons very basic. That’s the beginner audience Finestro targets, so try the free lessons first. And the add-on’s “Side Hustle Starter Course” sits awkwardly next to terms that say Finestro guarantees no results. Read the income talk as marketing.

Cancelling: the button is really an email

This is the part that trips people up. Under section 7.1 of Finestro’s subscription terms, pressing “Cancel Subscription” in your profile “generates a cancellation request” to the support team. It counts from the day you send it and is confirmed by email; the homepage FAQ says within 24 hours. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel anything, and web purchases must be cancelled on the website even if you only use the app.

  1. Find out where you paid. An Apple or Google receipt means the app store. A card or PayPal charge naming Finestro, Findmy or Velrio means the website.
  2. App Store: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Finestro, Cancel Subscription. Google Play: Play Store, your profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Finestro, Cancel.
  3. Website: log in at finestro.io, open your profile and press Cancel Subscription. Then send your own email to [email protected] from your account address saying “Please cancel my subscription and any add-ons.” The add-on is a separate product, so name it.
  4. Do it at least a day before renewal, the margin the App Store listing asks for.
  5. Keep the proof. Screenshot the confirmation and keep your sent email. No confirmation within a day? Send it again.
  6. Check your statement on the next renewal date rather than trusting that it stopped.

Getting your money back

Finestro’s refund policy (August 18, 2026) says purchases are “generally non-refundable”, trial fees included, and forgetting to cancel isn’t a reason. The useful exception is billing errors, including charges “processed after proper cancellation”. If you cancelled in writing and were billed anyway, quote that clause and attach your proof.

EU, UK and Swiss customers get a 14-day withdrawal right, minus days used, and Quebec residents get a pro-rata refund of prepaid time. App store purchases go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play, because Finestro says it can’t refund those.

The policy also says you must contact Finestro before disputing a charge, and that a successful chargeback closes your account. Email them first; it creates a record. After that, your bank or PayPal decides under its own rules, and the Gridinsoft reviewer says PayPal refunded her four charges. You can also report it to the FTC.

Is Finestro AI legit, and should you pay for it?

Probably not on the website. The lessons suit a nervous beginner, but most of what Finestro teaches is free from OpenAI, Google and Anthropic, and $49.99 a month is hard to justify next to Apple’s $59.99 a year.

If you want it, buy through the App Store so Apple handles cancelling and refunds. On the website, use a virtual card, skip the add-on and diary the renewal date. We’ve seen the same quiz-to-paywall pattern with Brain AI and the same trial-to-full-price jump with Use.AI. Billing is the main complaint about Undetectable AI too, and for the far end of income promises, see our Oracle AI Trade review.

How we checked this

On October 3, 2026 we read Finestro’s terms, subscription terms and refund policy, its homepage, the App Store listing and reviews, its Trustpilot and Gridinsoft pages, and the price data in the public script finestro.io/onboarding loads. We didn’t create an account or pay, so we haven’t seen the checkout screen, the in-app paywall or the cancellation emails; those points rest on Finestro’s documents and user reviews. We didn’t check Google Play prices.

Prices change often, so check the payment screen before you pay. Datalevo isn’t affiliated with or paid by any company mentioned here. Research and drafting were AI-assisted, and every figure was checked against the linked sources. Our full process is on the How We Review page.

FAQs

Is Finestro a scam?

No. It’s a real AI course run by VELRIO LIMITED in Cyprus, with working lessons and thousands of positive reviews. The complaints are about aggressive billing and hard cancellations, which is a bad business practice rather than fraud.

How much does Finestro cost?

On the website, intro charges of $10.43 to $36.99 renew at $49.99 a month or $94.85 every three months, before tax (checked October 3, 2026). The iPhone App Store lists $8.99 a month or $59.99 a year.

What is the Finestro charge on my bank statement?

Finestro’s terms say web charges can appear under Findmy LLC, VELRIO LIMITED or a payment processor such as Stripe, Braintree, SolidGate or PayPal. Look for a Finestro receipt in your email to match the amount.

How do I cancel my Finestro subscription?

Cancel where you paid. App store subscriptions are cancelled in Apple or Google settings. Web subscriptions need the Cancel Subscription button on finestro.io plus your own email to [email protected], and you should keep the confirmation.

Can I get a refund from Finestro?

Usually not, by its own policy. It does refund billing errors, including charges after a proper cancellation, and EU, UK, Swiss and Quebec customers have extra legal rights. App store refunds go through Apple or Google.

Will Finestro help me make money with AI?

It can teach beginner AI skills. Its terms say it doesn’t guarantee any result and that testimonials aren’t typical outcomes, so treat side-hustle and passive-income claims as advertising.
